Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how George Clydesdale and Harry Siciliano, trading as GCHS ("GCHS", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use the GCHS App (the "App"). We're based in South Australia and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Your first name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are encrypted, and we can never see them.
• If you sign in with Google: your name and email address from your Google account.
• Your training data: workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, notes and routines.
• Your body measurements, if you choose to log them, e.g. body weight, body fat percentage and tape measurements.
• Your answers during setup, e.g. training experience and how many days you train.
• Your email preferences.

Information collected automatically

• Basic, anonymous usage data, e.g. which pages are visited and which features are used. It doesn't identify you personally.
• Data stored on your device so the App works properly, e.g. keeping an in-progress workout if you close the App.

Body measurements are health information. Under Australian privacy law, body measurements and body fat readings can count as sensitive health information. We only collect them if you choose to enter them, and by entering them you consent to us storing and using them as described in this policy. You can delete them at any time.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account
• save and show your workouts, progress, records and measurements
• suggest workouts, rest times and weight increases within the App
• keep the App secure and working properly
• understand how the App is used so we can improve it, using anonymous data only
• send you emails about GCHS, only if you opted in. You can opt out any time.

We will never sell your personal information.

3. Who we share it with

We only share your information with services that help us run the App:

• Supabase: stores your account and training data.
• Vercel: hosts the App.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Resend: sends account emails such as sign-up codes, password resets and email-change links. It receives your email address to do this.
• Kit (ConvertKit): our email service. Only your name and email, and only if you opted in to emails.

Some of these services may store or process data outside Australia, for example in the United States. We choose providers with strong security practices, but overseas providers may not be covered by Australian privacy law.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

4. How we protect your information

Your data is protected by encrypted connections, encrypted passwords, and database rules that stop anyone but you from accessing your training data. No online service is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

5. Your choices and rights

• See and export your data: you can view all your data in the App and export your workouts as a CSV file from Settings.
• Correct your data: you can edit your details, workouts and measurements at any time.
• Stop marketing emails: turn off emails in Settings or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Delete your account: you can delete your account in Settings. This permanently deletes your account and all your data straight away, and it can't be undone.

6. Age

The App is for people aged 16 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted. Anonymous usage data may be kept to help improve the App.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know in the App or by email.
